The Estancia y Ficus project through  is a completely easy, but an exceedingly precise project. it's miles a rather small residence, best spanning throughout 979 square feet but no longer all is in the length. This house is all approximately place. it's miles placed in the colonial metropolis of Escazu in San Jose in Costa Rica, however more importantly, it's miles placed atop a hill that overlooks San Jose and Heredia.

the program couldn't be less complicated.

It’s a place where you can still revel in the view and spend afternoons and part of the nighttime with friends and family.

The location decided on had a moderate slope towards the east and a bonsai like tree, that resembles the ones grown by way of its proprietor.

The view of the San Jose town with the primary volcanic mountain variety is incredible, the Escazu mountains with it’s p.c. Blanco or White top , so close that you are feeling that you could contact them along with your hands.

in the dead of night, San Jose turns into the main attraction as it starts lighting fixtures up, the sky starts turning pink, tinted by using the city lighting and the relaxation of the panorama begins to wander away in the darkness. The simplest one component that stays is the illuminated Ficus.

With this in thoughts, we designed a glass residence, improved on top of steel columns and with a cover that opens closer to the view – 3 glass aspects and a lower back wall (with the services).

The get right of entry to is thru a metal bridge and glass which directs us toward the open view of the city , and soon towards the give up, breaking off into an attitude to access the room. It’s a unique fifty two m2 area which holds living room, dining room, kitchen and a small adjacent bathroom.

This area opens up completely on its northeast side dealing with the vicinity’s landscape and about 60% closer to the 30 square meter terrace dealing with San Jose.

A darkish ceramic tile turned into chosen for the floor and the ceiling become paingted greyinh shade so that during the night these colores would go away the room nearly in a semi darkness and would no longer compete with the town lighting. The furnishings and the wall colorings all supplement such style.

To sum it all up: a mild and clean project, which isn't intrusive, designed to immerse your self inside the surroundings.
